The Guards Brigade of the Nigerian Army has concluded a two-day field training exercise on ambush and anti-ambush tactics to boost security in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and adjoining border communities.<\/p>\n
Held at General O. A. Azazi Barracks, Gwagwalada, and along the Rafin Zurfi-Ibua axis, the exercise aimed to enhance troops\u2019 tactical readiness against emerging security threats.<\/p>\n
Brigade Commander, Brig.-Gen. Adebisi Onasanya, said the training aligns with the directives of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, who prioritises realistic and continuous drills to improve operational efficiency.<\/p>\n
According to the Brigade\u2019s spokesperson, Capt. Odunola Olawuyi, the exercise featured tactical manoeuvres, counter-ambush drills, and simulated rescue operations, all designed to reinforce soldiers\u2019 combat readiness.<\/p>\n
