The statement was made during a high-level strategic meeting on Gavi Alliance support to the Nigerian government at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>According to Shettima, the administration led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is unwaveringly committed to redefining the concept of modern leadership in Nigeria, with a special focus on the welfare of its citizens. Despite facing fiscal and monetary challenges, the Vice President expressed confidence in finding solutions, emphasizing the administration&#8217;s determination to prioritize the nation&#8217;s well-being.<\/p>\n<p>Shettima applauded the Gavi Alliance for its significant contributions to improving vaccine coverage in Nigeria, noting a substantial increase from 33% to 57% since 2016. He acknowledged Gavi&#8217;s crucial role in the country&#8217;s efforts to eradicate polio, highlighting the last reported case in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Expressing gratitude for Gavi&#8217;s assistance, the Vice President specifically mentioned the organization&#8217;s support in strengthening vaccine supply chain management and cold chain infrastructure.
