He was rushed to a nearby hospital but later confirmed dead.<\/p>\n<p>Confirming the incident, former NLC scribe Owei Lakemfa described Aremu as \u201cone of the greatest revolutionaries of our time,\u201d noting that he would be buried on October 23 in Ota.<\/p>\n<p>Lakemfa said the burial was shifted from October 13 to allow for wider mobilisation.<\/p>\n<p>He urged Nigerians to honour Aremu\u2019s memory by continuing his struggle for social justice and workers\u2019 rights.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Huldah Shado &nbsp; Veteran activist and Secretary of the Joint Action Front (JAF), Abiodun Aremu, has died after being hit by a speeding vehicle in Ota, Ogun State.
