{"id":76436,"date":"2025-10-10T15:13:59","date_gmt":"2025-10-10T15:13:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=76436"},"modified":"2025-10-10T15:13:59","modified_gmt":"2025-10-10T15:13:59","slug":"tinubu-to-champion-diaspora-investment-drive-at-2025-ndis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/10\/10\/tinubu-to-champion-diaspora-investment-drive-at-2025-ndis\/","title":{"rendered":"Tinubu to Champion Diaspora Investment Drive at 2025 NDIS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Olokuta Rofiat<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will attend the 8th Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit (NDIS), as the Special Guest of Honour, scheduled to hold from November 11 to 13, 2025, in Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>The Chairman and CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, announced this on Friday during a press briefing in Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>She said the summit, themed \u201cFast-Tracking Regional and National Development by Mobilising Diaspora Investment,\u201d seeks to enhance diaspora participation in Nigeria\u2019s economic transformation.<\/p>\n<p>According to Dabiri-Erewa, the summit will provide a strategic platform for engagement between government agencies, investors, entrepreneurs, and professionals from the diaspora, focusing on key sectors such as agriculture, ICT, healthcare, energy, real estate, and manufacturing.<\/p>\n<p>Since its inception in 2018, the NDIS has grown into a major annual event, attracting both local and international participants.<\/p>\n<p>The 2024 edition drew over 1,500 attendees and generated investment commitments estimated at \u20a6673 million across multiple sectors.<\/p>\n<p>Dabiri-Erewa added that beyond attracting investments, the summit has contributed to the local economy by engaging small businesses, startups, and creative professionals in its planning and logistics.<\/p>\n<p>She urged prospective participants to register via the official NDIS website, assuring that the 2025 edition would consolidate previous gains and further strengthen Nigeria\u2019s economic ties with its global diaspora community.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Olokuta Rofiat &nbsp; President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will attend the 8th Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit (NDIS), as the Special Guest of Honour, scheduled to hold from November 11 to 13, 2025, in Abuja.
