{"id":76367,"date":"2025-10-09T12:19:33","date_gmt":"2025-10-09T12:19:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=76367"},"modified":"2025-10-09T12:19:33","modified_gmt":"2025-10-09T12:19:33","slug":"over-3000-youths-protest-cacs-withdrawal-of-nycn-certificate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/10\/09\/over-3000-youths-protest-cacs-withdrawal-of-nycn-certificate\/","title":{"rendered":"Over 3,000 Youths Protest CAC\u2019s Withdrawal of NYCN Certificate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Omoniyi David<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Over 3,000 members of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) on Thursday staged a protest at the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) headquarters in Abuja over the withdrawal of the Council\u2019s registration certificate.<\/p>\n<p>The protesters accused the Registrar-General of CAC, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji (SAN), of acting in contempt of court and undermining President Bola Tinubu\u2019s Renewed Hope Agenda, alleging that the delisting came despite a pending appeal case.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing journalists, NYCN Secretary-General, Barr. Abubakar Suleiman, described the move as \u201cunlawful and arbitrary,\u201d insisting that the Federal High Court had earlier ruled that CAC lacked the authority to delist the body.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cThe Registrar-General has disregarded court orders by withdrawing our certificate and appointing a caretaker committee.
