{"id":76131,"date":"2025-10-06T08:52:04","date_gmt":"2025-10-06T08:52:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=76131"},"modified":"2025-10-06T08:52:04","modified_gmt":"2025-10-06T08:52:04","slug":"oshiomhole-atiku-obi-have-history-of-defeat-tinubu-will-win-again-in-2027","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/10\/06\/oshiomhole-atiku-obi-have-history-of-defeat-tinubu-will-win-again-in-2027\/","title":{"rendered":"Oshiomhole: Atiku, Obi Have \u2018History of Defeat\u2019; Tinubu Will Win Again in 2027"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Olokuta Rofiat<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, has said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will again defeat former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), if they contest against him in the 2027 presidential election.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on Sunday Politics on Channels Television, Oshiomhole said both Atiku and Obi have a \u201chistory of defeat,\u201d whether they run separately or as allies, adding that a repeat of their 2019 alliance or any renewed collaboration in 2027 would not change the outcome.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDid Atiku not run with Obi before and contest against the APC? Were they not defeated?\u201d Oshiomhole asked. \u201cThe point is that when these two ran together, they were roundly defeated by the APC. They have a history of being defeated together and apart. If they come back together, they will still be defeated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The former Edo State governor described the APC as the most organized and united political party in Nigeria, asserting that President Tinubu\u2019s administration is making tough but necessary decisions to rebuild the economy.<\/p>\n<p>He accused the opposition of \u201crecycling failed strategies\u201d and depending on sentiments instead of substance, insisting that Nigerians will once again choose continuity over \u201ca return to the old order\u201d in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Expressing confidence in Tinubu\u2019s reform agenda, Oshiomhole urged Nigerians to remain patient as the government implements long-term policies to revive the economy and enhance citizens\u2019 welfare.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPresident Tinubu is confronting decades of mismanagement and making decisions that many before him avoided.
