{"id":75796,"date":"2025-09-28T15:49:45","date_gmt":"2025-09-28T15:49:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=75796"},"modified":"2025-09-28T15:49:45","modified_gmt":"2025-09-28T15:49:45","slug":"ntac-expands-technical-aid-corps-to-four-new-countries-targets-manpower-export","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/09\/28\/ntac-expands-technical-aid-corps-to-four-new-countries-targets-manpower-export\/","title":{"rendered":"NTAC Expands Technical Aid Corps to Four New Countries, Targets Manpower Export"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Sarah Sam Adda<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Director-General of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), Dr. Yusuf Yakub, has announced the expansion of the Corps\u2019 engagements to four new countries: Grenada, Equatorial Guinea, South Sudan, and Zanzibar aimed at bridging educational and professional gaps across Africa and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>Yakub made this known on Friday in Abuja during a media parley to mark his two years in office.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that while the four countries had formally requested volunteers, NTAC was also preparing additional countries for future participation in the programme.<\/p>\n<p>The DG further disclosed that his administration had introduced a new initiative designed to curb illegal migration by productively engaging young Nigerians who might otherwise attempt to travel abroad through unsafe routes.<\/p>\n<p>He said the initiative would reposition NTAC as a hub for exporting Nigerian manpower, enabling skilled professionals to earn salaries abroad while boosting the country\u2019s soft power diplomacy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the past two years, we have opened TAC engagements in Grenada, Equatorial Guinea, South Sudan, and Zanzibar.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are preparing to deploy volunteers to other countries, but until deployment happens, they will not be officially listed,\u201d Yakub stated.<\/p>\n<p>He emphasized that the manpower export model would operate as a structured exchange, not a free service, where Nigerian expertise would generate income while strengthening bilateral relations in line with President Bola Tinubu\u2019s Renewed Hope Agenda.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Sarah Sam Adda &nbsp; The Director-General of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), Dr. Yusuf Yakub, has announced the expansion of the Corps\u2019 engagements to four new countries: Grenada, Equatorial Guinea, South Sudan, and Zanzibar aimed at bridging educational and professional gaps across Africa and beyond.
