{"id":75568,"date":"2025-09-23T16:32:08","date_gmt":"2025-09-23T16:32:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=75568"},"modified":"2025-09-23T16:32:08","modified_gmt":"2025-09-23T16:32:08","slug":"edo-nma-commends-orthopaedic-hospital-cmd-for-transformational-leadership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/09\/23\/edo-nma-commends-orthopaedic-hospital-cmd-for-transformational-leadership\/","title":{"rendered":"Edo NMA Commends Orthopaedic Hospital CMD for Transformational Leadership"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Omoniyi David<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Edo State branch of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), has lauded the Chief Medical Director of the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Benin City, Dr. Phillip Ugbodaga, for what it described as outstanding leadership and visible progress at the newly established tertiary institution.<\/p>\n<p>State NMA Chairman, Dr. Eustace Oseghale, gave the commendation during a courtesy visit to the hospital ahead of the forthcoming Physicians\u2019 Week and the South-South NMA Games.<\/p>\n<p>He said Dr. Ugbodaga\u2019s \u201cresult-oriented and transformational leadership\u201d had already placed the hospital on an upward trajectory in delivering quality healthcare.<\/p>\n<p>The delegation, led by Oseghale, toured the facilities and expressed satisfaction with the infrastructure and staff professionalism.<\/p>\n<p>Responding, Dr. Ugbodaga, a former Edo NMA Chairman and ex-CMD of the Central Hospital, Benin, thanked the association for the recognition and pledged continued commitment to patient-centred care, accountability, and alignment with the Federal Ministry of Health\u2019s 4-Point Agenda and the hospital\u2019s 2024-2029 Strategic Plan.<\/p>\n<p>The visit also featured the unveiling of a newly acquired vehicle by the Edo NMA.<\/p>\n<p>Senior management of the hospital and members of the Edo NMA leadership were in attendance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Omoniyi David &nbsp; The Edo State branch of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), has lauded the Chief Medical Director of the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Benin City, Dr. Phillip Ugbodaga, for what it described as outstanding leadership and visible progress at the newly established tertiary institution.
