He questioned the fairness of describing Nigeria as \u201cWazobia\u201d when the Igbo have not been given equal access to power.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, Igbos are frequently told to \u201cgo back to their villages\u201d and are often silenced whenever they raise issues relating to Biafra.<\/p>\n<p>He maintained that despite calls for national unity, the continued exclusion of the Igbo from the presidency undermines the idea of one Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>Citing the 2023 presidential election, Fayose added that Igbo candidate Peter Obi, who garnered widespread support and significant votes across the country, was allegedly rigged out of victory, further reinforcing the perception of marginalization.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Sarah Sam Adda Businessman Isaac Fayose has rejected the widespread notion that Nigeria belongs equally to the three major tribes: Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba, arguing that the Igbo have faced consistent political marginalization since the return of democracy in 1999.
