The Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria (DAPPMAN), has appealed for calm as tensions escalate in the nation\u2019s oil and gas sector.<\/p>\n
In a statement issued on Sunday, September 7, 2025, and signed by its Executive Secretary, Olufemi Adewole, the association warned that a nationwide strike could severely disrupt the supply and distribution of petroleum products, crippling economic activities across the country.<\/p>\n
DAPPMAN urged all stakeholders to \u201cexercise utmost restraint and embrace constructive dialogue,\u201d stressing that any industrial action would inflict hardship on ordinary Nigerians, destabilize businesses, and further strain government revenue.<\/p>\n
The association also called on the federal government to intervene swiftly in resolving the grievances fueling the crisis.<\/p>\n
The appeal comes on the heels of a failed reconciliation meeting between Dangote Refinery and the National Union of Petroleum and Gas Workers (NUPENG), which has heightened fears of imminent fuel scarcity.<\/p>\n
