{"id":75182,"date":"2025-09-08T15:57:22","date_gmt":"2025-09-08T15:57:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=75182"},"modified":"2025-09-08T15:57:22","modified_gmt":"2025-09-08T15:57:22","slug":"nscdc-officer-accidentally-shoots-colleague-dead-in-abuja","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/09\/08\/nscdc-officer-accidentally-shoots-colleague-dead-in-abuja\/","title":{"rendered":"NSCDC Officer Accidentally Shoots Colleague Dead in Abuja"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Onilede Titi Faith<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A Deputy Superintendent of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), on Sunday accidentally shot and killed his colleague, DSC Adekunle Emmanuel, in the Life Camp area of Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>The incident, disclosed by counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama on his X handle Monday, occurred around 10:20 a.m. while the officers were en route from Corner View Hotel to a principal\u2019s residence at Lias Estate.<\/p>\n<p>Security sources said Emmanuel was hit in the left upper arm by his colleague\u2019s rifle.<\/p>\n<p>He was rushed to Maitama General Hospital, where doctors confirmed him dead on arrival.
