Emergency responders rushed him to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<p>Police spokesperson Adewale Osifeso, in a statement on Sunday, confirmed the arrests, assuring that a thorough investigation was ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Oyo State Police Command expresses its condolences to the victim\u2019s family and assures that justice will be served,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n<p>The incident has sparked renewed debate over the soaring cost of housing in Nigeria, with calls for stronger government measures to ease tensions between landlords and tenants.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first tragedy of its kind in Ibadan.
