E1 Series CEO Rodi Basso confirmed the city\u2019s selection after a competitive bidding process, describing it as \u201ca milestone for sport, sustainability, and commerce in Africa.\u201d<\/p>\n
The championship will showcase cutting-edge electric-powered boats, highlighting how innovation in marine transport can address environmental challenges.<\/p>\n
Deputy Chief of Staff Sam Egube said the event affirms Lagos\u2019 readiness to stage world-class spectacles that merge speed, sustainability, and innovation.<\/p>\n
He added that it aligns with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu\u2019s climate action agenda while providing a powerful boost to tourism and the local economy.<\/p>\n
