An Abuja-based lawyer, Barrister Henry Okeke, has predicted that Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, will secure a second term in 2027 and could emerge as a strong contender for the presidency in 2031.<\/p>\n
Okeke made the remarks during a post-event analysis on Freedom Square TV, following the 2025 Nigerian Bar Association Annual General Conference (NBA-AGC), held in Enugu.<\/p>\n
He lauded Mbah\u2019s leadership style, describing Enugu as \u201ca showroom of governance,\u201d and commended the seamless hosting of the NBA-AGC, which attracted thousands of lawyers nationwide.<\/p>\n
According to him, the state remained secure, clean, and hospitable throughout the weeklong event, reflecting the governor\u2019s reform-driven administration.<\/p>\n
\u201cGovernor Peter Mbah has shown Nigerians that governance is not rocket science,\u201d Okeke said, adding that his achievements in just two years make his re-election \u201cnon-negotiable.\u201d<\/p>\n
