When they approached to investigate, they found the driver motionless, with foam coming from his mouth.<\/p>\n<p>The officers quickly contacted officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), who evacuated the victim to Abaji General Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>However, doctors confirmed him dead on arrival, and his remains were deposited at the hospital morgue.<\/p>\n<p>A phone retrieved from the vehicle enabled authorities to reach out to the deceased\u2019s family.<\/p>\n<p>The Abaji Police Division confirmed the incident and said investigations were underway to establish the circumstances surrounding his death.<\/p>\n<p>While no signs of foul play were immediately detected, police added that an autopsy may be conducted to determine the exact cause.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Olokuta Rofiat Tragedy struck on Tuesday when a driver, identified as Mr. Isaac Uguwu Anayo, was discovered dead inside his Volkswagen pickup van near a police checkpoint in Abaji, along the Abuja-Lokoja highway.
