{"id":74548,"date":"2025-08-30T11:19:26","date_gmt":"2025-08-30T11:19:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=74548"},"modified":"2025-08-30T11:19:26","modified_gmt":"2025-08-30T11:19:26","slug":"nysc-bpp-strengthen-ties-on-procurement-reforms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/08\/30\/nysc-bpp-strengthen-ties-on-procurement-reforms\/","title":{"rendered":"NYSC, BPP Strengthen Ties on Procurement Reforms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Anifowoshe Oladipupo<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), and the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), have renewed their commitment to deepening collaboration in promoting transparency, accountability, and due process in government procurement.<\/p>\n<p>NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, made this known during a meeting with the BPP Director General, Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, in Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>Nafiu commended the BPP for its consistent support, which, he noted, has helped the NYSC align its procurement processes with global best practices.<\/p>\n<p>He stressed that the partnership is vital for ensuring accountability and prudent management of public funds, adding that the scheme is exploring new areas of collaboration through its Community Development Service (CDS), programme.<\/p>\n<p>In his remarks, Dr. Adedokun highlighted the importance of fighting corruption through strict adherence to the new procurement guidelines.<\/p>\n<p>He applauded the NYSC\u2019s contribution to national development and its role in grooming future leaders.<\/p>\n<p>Adedokun further requested a platform during the NYSC Orientation Course to educate Corps Members on public procurement principles and their significance to nation-building.<\/p>\n<p>Both organizations agreed to strengthen their synergy to advance transparency and support national growth.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Anifowoshe Oladipupo &nbsp; The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), and the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), have renewed their commitment to deepening collaboration in promoting transparency, accountability, and due process in government procurement.
