The blasts continued for about 30 minutes before volunteers managed to put out the fire,\u201d he recounted.<\/p>\n<p>Police sources revealed that efforts to get firefighters from Sabon-Wuse in Tafa LGA, Niger State, were unsuccessful as officials on duty declined, citing jurisdictional limits.<\/p>\n<p>A police officer attached to the Tafa division, whose station shares a fence with the workshop, said the explosion initially triggered panic among officers who mistook it for a bomb attack. They later regrouped under their Divisional Police Officer, SP Ibrahim Idris, and assisted volunteers in controlling the blaze.<\/p>\n<p>The deceased\u2019s remains were deposited at Umaru Musa Yar\u2019Adua Memorial Hospital, Sabon-Wuse.
