{"id":74068,"date":"2025-08-25T05:52:16","date_gmt":"2025-08-25T05:52:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=74068"},"modified":"2025-08-25T05:52:16","modified_gmt":"2025-08-25T05:52:16","slug":"frsc-to-establish-mobile-court-on-abuja-lokoja-highway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/08\/25\/frsc-to-establish-mobile-court-on-abuja-lokoja-highway\/","title":{"rendered":"FRSC to Establish Mobile Court on Abuja-Lokoja Highway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Samuel Adeola<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced plans to establish a mobile court along the Gwagwalada\u2013Abaji\u2013Lokoja highway as part of efforts to curb reckless driving.<\/p>\n<p>FCT Sector Commander, Felix Theman, disclosed this during a town hall meeting at Teachers\u2019 House, Gwagwalada, with the theme \u201cA Safer Road for All.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The gathering brought together security agencies, transport unions, traditional rulers, politicians, and other stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>Theman lamented the rising cases of traffic violations along the Abuja\u2013Lokoja corridor, noting that many drivers ignore road regulations, leading to frequent crashes.<\/p>\n<p>He urged motorists to embrace responsible driving and take advantage of the meeting to share concerns and feedback.<\/p>\n<p>Chairman of Gwagwalada Area Council, Alhaji Abubakar Jibrin Giri, represented by the Council Secretary, Alhaji Mohammed Saba, pledged full support for the initiative.<\/p>\n<p>Gwagwalada Unit Commander of the FRSC, Ahmed Sani, also assured that issues raised at the forum would be addressed promptly.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, FCT NUT Chairman, Comrade Abdullahi Mohammed Shafa, who received an award at the event, commended the FRSC for recognizing teachers\u2019 contributions to road safety.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Samuel Adeola The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced plans to establish a mobile court along the Gwagwalada\u2013Abaji\u2013Lokoja highway as part of efforts to curb reckless driving.
