{"id":73557,"date":"2025-08-19T09:33:08","date_gmt":"2025-08-19T09:33:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=73557"},"modified":"2025-08-19T09:33:08","modified_gmt":"2025-08-19T09:33:08","slug":"tinubu-restoring-stability-hope-in-nigeria-okowa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/08\/19\/tinubu-restoring-stability-hope-in-nigeria-okowa\/","title":{"rendered":"Tinubu Restoring Stability, Hope in Nigeria -Okowa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Onilede Titi Faith<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Former Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has praised President Bola Tinubu for restoring stability and hope in Nigeria, describing him as an \u201caction president\u201d who has taken full responsibility for the nation\u2019s challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Okowa, represented by his former Special Adviser on National Assembly and Inter-Governmental Relations, Pascal Adigwe, spoke on Monday at a national summit in Abuja organised by the Integrity Group of Nigeria (IGN), themed \u201cRenew Hope Agenda Through Continuity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to him, Tinubu\u2019s leadership approach distinguishes him from past leaders because he refuses to dwell on previous failures but instead takes bold steps to confront pressing issues.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTinubu is bringing stability. He\u2019s bringing back hope. He\u2019s taking the bull by the horn.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He promised Nigerians that he would assume office and take responsibility and that is exactly what he has done,\u201d Okowa said.<\/p>\n<p>He acknowledged that while some of the President\u2019s policies may appear tough, they are already yielding positive results.<\/p>\n<p>He also pledged full support for Tinubu\u2019s re-election bid in 2027, stressing that continuity was vital to sustaining the President\u2019s reforms.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are coming with our experience, with our knowledge of the terrain, with love, and with resources to make what has been built even better,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the Convener and National Chairman of IGN, Dr. Oke Idawene, said Tinubu came into office prepared and has since worked tirelessly for Nigeria\u2019s prosperity, citing gains in security and the introduction of student loans as signs of progress.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Onilede Titi Faith Former Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has praised President Bola Tinubu for restoring stability and hope in Nigeria, describing him as an \u201caction president\u201d who has taken full responsibility for the nation\u2019s challenges.
