{"id":73356,"date":"2025-08-16T10:46:16","date_gmt":"2025-08-16T10:46:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=73356"},"modified":"2025-08-16T10:46:16","modified_gmt":"2025-08-16T10:46:16","slug":"nsc-confirms-super-falcons-bonuses-fully-paid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/08\/16\/nsc-confirms-super-falcons-bonuses-fully-paid\/","title":{"rendered":"NSC Confirms Super Falcons\u2019 Bonuses Fully Paid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Njoku Chijioke<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Director-General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Bukola Olopade, has confirmed that all bonuses owed to the Super Falcons have been settled.<\/p>\n<p>This follows concerns raised by team captain Rasheedat Ajibade that players were yet to receive payments and other benefits after winning the 2025 Women\u2019s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).<\/p>\n<p>Olopade clarified that the bonuses were cleared before the Falcons\u2019 final match against Morocco, adding that only a few players may have experienced delays due to banking issues with the Central Bank of Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>He further assured that President Bola Tinubu\u2019s pledge of $100,000 and three-bedroom apartments for each player would be honoured, noting that the NSC is working with the Ministry of Works and Housing to deliver the promised homes.<\/p>\n<p>Olopade stressed that the Commission remains committed to the welfare and remuneration of Nigerian athletes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Njoku Chijioke &nbsp; The Director-General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Bukola Olopade, has confirmed that all bonuses owed to the Super Falcons have been settled.
