By Onyeanya Ebere Immaculata<\/strong><\/p>\n The Niger State Police Command has arrested an 18-year-old student of the College of Health, Kwamba, Suleja, for allegedly faking his own kidnapping and demanding a \u20a650 million ransom from his mother.<\/p>\n The suspect, identified as Moses Amarks, was nabbed at Zuba motor park in Abuja after police tracked the phone used to make the ransom call.<\/p>\n Police spokesperson, SP Wasiu Abiodun, said the case was reported to the Maje Division on August 4, 2025, when Amarks\u2019 mother received a call from a hidden number claiming her son had been abducted.<\/p>\n Upon interrogation, Amarks confessed to conspiring with his friend, Emmanuel Moses, 22, a former student of the same college, to stage the abduction.<\/p>\n Emmanuel allegedly contacted his brother, Jetro, in Kaduna State, who arranged a hideout for them in Karji village, Sabon-Tasha.<\/p>\n The suspects reportedly stayed in hiding for six days before Amarks returned home after the ransom demand failed.<\/p>\n Police say investigations are ongoing, with efforts underway to arrest Jetro.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Onyeanya Ebere Immaculata The Niger State Police Command has arrested an 18-year-old student of the College of Health, Kwamba, Suleja, for allegedly faking his own kidnapping and demanding a \u20a650 million ransom from his mother.
