{"id":72895,"date":"2025-08-12T12:09:34","date_gmt":"2025-08-12T12:09:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=72895"},"modified":"2025-08-12T12:09:34","modified_gmt":"2025-08-12T12:09:34","slug":"babcock-mdcn-inducts-101-new-medical-doctors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/08\/12\/babcock-mdcn-inducts-101-new-medical-doctors\/","title":{"rendered":"Babcock: MDCN Inducts 101 New Medical Doctors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Onilede Titi Faith<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) has officially inducted 101 new medical doctors from Babcock University\u2019s Ben Carson College of Health and Medical Sciences.<\/p>\n<p>The induction ceremony, marking the university\u2019s 10th such event, was held at the school\u2019s Amphi Theatre.<\/p>\n<p>Among the inductees, 32 students graduated with distinctions in various courses.<\/p>\n<p>Chisom Emmanuella Okafor stood out as the best graduating student, achieving an impressive 10 distinctions.<\/p>\n<p>In recognition of her academic excellence, she received a plaque and cash awards totaling \u20a6600,000 &#8211; \u20a6500,000 from the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Ogun State chapter and \u20a6100,000 from the chapter\u2019s chairman and secretary.<\/p>\n<p>At the ceremony, MDCN Registrar Dr. Fatima Kyari, represented by Dr. Tijjani Ali, administered the oath of allegiance to the new doctors.<\/p>\n<p>She urged them to uphold the highest ethical standards in all aspects of their medical practice.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Ademola Tayo, Vice Chancellor of Babcock University, described the induction as a pivotal milestone in the graduates\u2019 professional journey.<\/p>\n<p>He encouraged them to remain dedicated to serving humanity and to uphold the values and standards of the medical profession as they embark on their careers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Onilede Titi Faith The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) has officially inducted 101 new medical doctors from Babcock University\u2019s Ben Carson College of Health and Medical Sciences.
