{"id":72787,"date":"2025-08-11T10:35:34","date_gmt":"2025-08-11T10:35:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=72787"},"modified":"2025-08-11T10:35:34","modified_gmt":"2025-08-11T10:35:34","slug":"fg-to-arraign-five-suspected-terrorists-over-owo-church-massacre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/08\/11\/fg-to-arraign-five-suspected-terrorists-over-owo-church-massacre\/","title":{"rendered":"FG to Arraign Five Suspected Terrorists Over Owo Church Massacre"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Onyeanya Ebere Immaculata<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Federal Government is set to arraign five suspected terrorists linked to the June 5, 2022, attack on St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State, which claimed dozens of lives.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The suspects: Idris Omeiza, Al Qasim Idris, Jamiu Abdulmalik, Abdulhaleem Idris, and Momoh Otuho Abubakar were brought into the Federal High Court in Abuja around 9:05 a.m. on Monday by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS). They are scheduled to appear before Justice Emeka Nwite.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Prosecuted by the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), the defendants face nine terrorism-related counts under the Terrorism (Prevention and Prohibition), Act, 2022, in case number FHC\/ABJ\/CR\/301\/2025, filed by M.B.
