Though still above some competitors, the reduction is seen as a positive move.<\/p>\n<p>Ardova filling station, for example, now sells petrol at N875 per litre, while Ranoil and Empire Energy in Gwarinpa have also adjusted their prices downward.<\/p>\n<p>The price cuts are largely attributed to reduced loading costs at private depots, with some ex-depot prices dropping by as much as N2 per litre.<\/p>\n<p>Financial analyst Dumebi Oluwole explained that the fluctuations reflect global oil price trends.<\/p>\n<p>With fuel subsidies removed, pump prices now mirror the true cost of importing petrol, offering Nigerians a taste of a fully deregulated market.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Anifowoshe Oladipupo Residents of Abuja are experiencing relief at fuel stations as the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), and other marketers have reduced petrol prices following a recent hike.
