During the altercation, Kabir allegedly beat Suleiman and tore his clothes.<\/p>\n<p>The situation escalated further when police officers attempted to arrest Kabir at the Trademore Police Station, where he reportedly resisted and headbutted an inspector, causing injury.<\/p>\n<p>Kabir pleaded not guilty to the charges. His counsel, Helen Akpala, urged the court to grant bail, citing the presumption of innocence.<\/p>\n<p>However, the prosecution opposed the application, describing the defendant\u2019s actions as a grave threat to public order.<\/p>\n<p>Presiding Magistrate Abubakar Sadiq directed the defense to file a formal bail application and adjourned the case to September 16.
