{"id":71778,"date":"2025-07-31T08:40:12","date_gmt":"2025-07-31T08:40:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=71778"},"modified":"2025-07-31T08:40:12","modified_gmt":"2025-07-31T08:40:12","slug":"nama-tests-emergency-readiness-at-abuja-airport","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/07\/31\/nama-tests-emergency-readiness-at-abuja-airport\/","title":{"rendered":"NAMA Tests Emergency Readiness at Abuja Airport"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Huldah Shado<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) is conducting its annual Search and Rescue Simulation Exercise today at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, to test emergency response readiness.<\/p>\n<p>The drill aims to assess Nigeria\u2019s operational preparedness for airspace emergencies, enhance inter-agency collaboration, and align response efforts with global aviation standards.<\/p>\n<p>A preparatory meeting was held yesterday with key stakeholders in attendance, including the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau, Nigerian Meteorological Agency, and others.
