The National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) on Monday, July 28, 2025, organized a major sensitization walk in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to raise public awareness about the pervasive dangers of human trafficking.<\/span><\/p>\n Led by the agency’s Director General, <\/span>Hajiya Binta Bello<\/span><\/b>, NAPTIP staff members traversed the streets from the Old Parade Ground to Unity Fountain.<\/span> During the walk, they actively engaged with the public, distributing informative flyers that outlined the grave risks associated with human trafficking and provided crucial guidance on how to identify and report suspected cases.<\/span><\/p>\n In an interview with journalists after the successful walk, the Director General emphasized that the event was specifically aimed at enhancing the public’s understanding of human trafficking issues, thereby empowering them to better resist the deceptive tactics employed by traffickers.<\/span><\/p>\n Hajiya Binta Bello further noted that the walk served as a stark warning to human traffickers, signaling NAPTIP’s unwavering determination to intensify its crackdown on their illicit activities.
