{"id":71218,"date":"2025-07-22T13:02:43","date_gmt":"2025-07-22T13:02:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=71218"},"modified":"2025-07-22T13:02:43","modified_gmt":"2025-07-22T13:02:43","slug":"federal-high-court-to-begin-2025-annual-vacation-july-28","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/07\/22\/federal-high-court-to-begin-2025-annual-vacation-july-28\/","title":{"rendered":"Federal High Court to Begin 2025 Annual Vacation July 28"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Onyeanya Ebere Immaculata<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Federal High Court of Nigeria will commence its 2025 annual vacation on Monday, July 28, as stipulated by Order 46, Rule 4(d) of the Federal High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>This was confirmed in an official circular released by the Chief Judge, Justice John Terhemba Tsoho, and announced through a statement by the Court\u2019s Director of Information, Dr. Catherine Oby Christopher.<\/p>\n<p>According to the circular, the vacation will span from July 28 to Tuesday, September 16, with normal court proceedings resuming on Wednesday, September 17.<\/p>\n<p>The statement noted that the break aims to allow judges adequate rest and preparation for the new legal year. However, during the period, the court will remain open for urgent matters, which will be addressed by designated vacation judges in three divisions: Abuja, Lagos, and Port Harcourt.<\/p>\n<p>In Abuja, Justice Emeka Nwite and Justice Mohammed Liman will handle vacation cases. Justice Isaac Dehinde Dipeolu and Justice Musa Kakaki will sit in Lagos, while Justices P.M. Ayua and A.T.
