Dr. Matthew Hassan Kukah, has urged Nigerians to look beyond the politics of former President Muhammadu Buhari\u2019s eight-year administration and focus instead on his personal virtues and contributions to the nation.<\/p>\n<p>Reacting to Buhari\u2019s passing, Bishop Kukah described the former president as a good man whose life and legacy should not be reduced to his time in office alone.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think President Buhari should be remembered as a good man. We shouldn\u2019t focus on his eight years of being President of Nigeria, but as a great man who made his contributions to this country as a military officer, among many other things,\u201d Kukah said during a telephone interview with Daily Sun.<\/p>\n<p>He prayed for the peaceful repose of Buhari\u2019s soul and extended condolences to his family and the nation at large.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMay God grant him eternal rest and may He give consolation to his family. Extend our sympathy, but all of us as a nation are mourning,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Buhari died on Sunday, July 13, 2025, in London at the age of 82.
