{"id":70407,"date":"2025-07-12T19:38:05","date_gmt":"2025-07-12T19:38:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=70407"},"modified":"2025-07-12T19:38:05","modified_gmt":"2025-07-12T19:38:05","slug":"kubwa-peculiar-peoples-church-marks-20th-anniversary-reaffirms-mission","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/07\/12\/kubwa-peculiar-peoples-church-marks-20th-anniversary-reaffirms-mission\/","title":{"rendered":"Kubwa: Peculiar People&#8217;s Church Marks 20th Anniversary, Reaffirms Mission"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Ade Iyamoye<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Peculiar People&#8217;s Centre for Deliverance Through Evangelism, a branch of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church in Kubwa, Abuja, has celebrated its 20th Founder\u2019s Day Anniversary with thanksgiving today, with a renewed commitment to building a spiritually vibrant community for future generations.<\/p>\n<p>The hall of the event, which was filled to the brime, saw a galore of songs of thanksgiving, testimonies, and heartfelt reflections on two decades of divine faithfulness.<\/p>\n<p>The Leader in Charge and Senior Pastor of Kubwa Church, Dakibiyu District, Pastor Alex Ogundipe, described the church\u2019s journey as a testimony of God&#8217;s faithfulness.<\/p>\n<p>He said the church\u2019s mission goes beyond the present, focusing on capacity building and spiritual revival anchored in the Word of God.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re building not just a congregation but a legacy for the next generation. Many who had left due to misunderstanding have returned after encountering truth and grace here,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Pastor Ogundipe emphasized that the church is helping believers rediscover \u201cthe old paths\u201d and deepen their understanding of God.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWithout the Word, nothing stands. Faith, obedience, and divine fulfilment all rest on the foundation of the Word,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>He recounted the church\u2019s early challenges and noted that their survival and growth of over two decades is the evidence of divine guidance and covenant.<\/p>\n<p>Welcoming members and invited guests to the event, the Secretary-General of the Church, Special Apostle Olayinka Olatundun, gave glory to God for His continuous presence and wonders in the lives of the congregation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom the very first day of the founding of this church, God has been so great. He has worked wonders, and we thank everyone who has contributed since inception.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We welcome you all as we celebrate together and look ahead to our 21st, 25th, and onward until Jesus comes,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Delivering the keynote address, Special Mother in Israel, Margaret Ohenhen, described the anniversary as a celebration of God\u2019s steadfastness and mercy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are not just having a party. We are celebrating the God who stood by us through these 20 years.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;His blessings are countless.
