President Bola Tinubu has officially endorsed the 2025 All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), scheduled to hold in Lagos from November 25 to 30, under the theme \u201cUnstoppable Africa.\u201d<\/p>\n
The endorsement followed a request by the African Union Commission seeking Nigeria\u2019s collaboration for the prestigious continental event.<\/p>\n
To ensure successful hosting, the Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, inaugurated an inter-ministerial Local Organising Committee on Wednesday in Abuja.<\/p>\n
The committee will work with the Lagos State Government, the African Union, and AFRIMA\u2019s International Committee to deliver a world-class event.<\/p>\n
Members of the committee include representatives from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Interior, Information and National Orientation, and other key agencies such as the Nigerian Film Corporation and National Film and Video Censors Board.<\/p>\n
Musawa emphasized that AFRIMA aligns with President Tinubu\u2019s vision of positioning the creative industry as a key driver of economic growth and national development.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is more than just an awards show. It\u2019s a platform to create jobs, promote tourism, and celebrate African talent,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
