{"id":70307,"date":"2025-07-11T14:33:07","date_gmt":"2025-07-11T14:33:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=70307"},"modified":"2025-07-11T14:33:07","modified_gmt":"2025-07-11T14:33:07","slug":"two-die-thirteen-injured-in-kano-auto-crash-frsc-confirms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/07\/11\/two-die-thirteen-injured-in-kano-auto-crash-frsc-confirms\/","title":{"rendered":"Two Die, Thirteen Injured in Kano Auto Crash, FRSC Confirms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Huldah Shado<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Two persons have been confirmed dead and thirteen others injured in a fatal road crash that occurred along the Ringim-Kano Road in Kano State.<\/p>\n<p>The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), said the accident, which happened around 10:40 a.m., involved two Volkswagen vehicles and was caused by over-speeding and wrongful overtaking.<\/p>\n<p>FRSC Sector Commander in Kano, Mr. Umar Mas&#8217;ud, confirmed the incident, stating that all 15 passengers involved were from Bareda village in Ikara Local Government Area of Kaduna State.<\/p>\n<p>He said the corpses of the deceased were recovered and the injured rushed for prompt medical attention.<br \/>\nMas&#8217;ud further disclosed that a total of \u20a62,166,700 was recovered from the crash scene.<\/p>\n<p>The money, belonging to the deceased and a survivor, was handed over to their families in the presence of Divisional Police Officer, ASP Abdullahi Ibrahim.<br \/>\nIn his reaction, FRSC Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed extended condolences to the bereaved families and advised motorists to obey traffic regulations.<\/p>\n<p>He warned against overs-peeding, dangerous overtaking, and night journeys, stressing the importance of vehicle roadworthiness, especially during the rainy season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Huldah Shado Two persons have been confirmed dead and thirteen others injured in a fatal road crash that occurred along the Ringim-Kano Road in Kano State.
