{"id":70187,"date":"2025-07-10T09:20:44","date_gmt":"2025-07-10T09:20:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=70187"},"modified":"2025-07-10T09:20:44","modified_gmt":"2025-07-10T09:20:44","slug":"apologize-to-shettima-you-lied-minister-musawa-slams-baba-ahmed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/07\/10\/apologize-to-shettima-you-lied-minister-musawa-slams-baba-ahmed\/","title":{"rendered":"Apologize to Shettima, You Lied\u2019, Minister Musawa Slams Baba-Ahmed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Onyeanya Ebere Immaculata<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Minister of Art, Culture, and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, has called on Labour Party\u2019s vice-presidential candidate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, to apologize to Vice President Kashim Shettima over recent controversial remarks.<\/p>\n<p>Baba-Ahmed, who ran alongside Peter Obi in the 2023 general election, had criticized Shettima during an appearance on Arise News, suggesting that President Bola Tinubu had exercised \u201crare patience\u201d by retaining Shettima as Vice President.<\/p>\n<p>Without giving specifics, Baba-Ahmed hinted that Shettima\u2019s past actions should have disqualified him from holding such a high office.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnyone who knows what Shettima did would not allow him to remain in office,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Reacting on Arise News on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, Musawa described Baba-Ahmed\u2019s comments as \u201cdangerous insinuations based on lies\u201d and demanded a public apology.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think Datti needs to apologize to the Vice President,\u201d she said. \u201cWhat exactly was he trying to say? He made vague and very harmful statements without facts.
