TheCable observed on Sunday that in some areas such as Lugbe, along Airport Road, the price had dropped further to N935 per litre.<\/p>\n<p>The price cut follows a steady decline in global oil prices, with Brent crude falling to $68.30 per barrel as of June 4.<\/p>\n<p>In line with this trend, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery had earlier slashed its ex-depot petrol price to N840 per litre on July 1.<\/p>\n<p>Amid fluctuating fuel prices, the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), has announced plans to host a stakeholders\u2019 forum from July 23 to 24.<\/p>\n<p>According to Francis Ogaree, Executive Director of Hydrocarbon Processing Plants at NMDPRA, the summit aims to establish petrol pricing guidelines and address supply concerns in the downstream sector.<\/p>\n<p>The forum will bring together marketers, refiners, regulators, and government officials to deliberate on stabilizing the deregulated petroleum market.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Oso Abidemi\u00a0 The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC), Limited has reduced the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, to N910 per litre at its retail outlets in Abuja.
