Former Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, was appointed as the national secretary, while former Minister of Sports, Bolaji Abdullahi, will serve as the party&#8217;s spokesperson.<\/p>\n<p>Talks with ADC and the Social Democratic Party (SDP), had previously broken down, prompting the coalition\u2019s push to register ADA.<\/p>\n<p>However, delays and potential bottlenecks from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), led to a shift in strategy and the coalition\u2019s return to ADC.<\/p>\n<p>A formal unveiling of the new political arrangement is scheduled to hold today Wednesday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Omoniyi David In a major political development ahead of the 2027 general elections, an opposition coalition has formally adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC), as its platform to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
