{"id":69444,"date":"2025-07-02T07:45:24","date_gmt":"2025-07-02T07:45:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=69444"},"modified":"2025-07-02T07:45:24","modified_gmt":"2025-07-02T07:45:24","slug":"police-arrest-three-notorious-kidnappers-in-abuja-kaduna-raid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/07\/02\/police-arrest-three-notorious-kidnappers-in-abuja-kaduna-raid\/","title":{"rendered":"Police Arrest Three Notorious Kidnappers in Abuja-Kaduna Raid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Adenike Lawal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a major breakthrough against kidnapping, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Police Command has arrested three suspected masterminds of abductions across Abuja and Kaduna.<\/p>\n<p>The suspects; Abdulkadir Abubakar of Mpape, Abuja; Mohammed Tasiu Sani, 25, of Rigina, Kaduna State; and Suleiman Jibrin, 27, of Sabon-Gayan, Kaduna were apprehended on Saturday, June 29, in a coordinated sting operation across Mpape and Rigina.<\/p>\n<p>According to FCT Police spokesperson SP Josephine Adeh, the suspects have been linked to kidnapping activities in Jere, Kajuru, and other volatile areas within the FCT and Kaduna.<\/p>\n<p>Intelligence reports also tied them to criminal hideouts in the Kachia and Rigina forests.<\/p>\n<p>The raid, led by Assistant Commissioner of Police Victor O. Godfrey, followed directives from FCT Commissioner of Police Ajao Saka Adewale.<\/p>\n<p>A motorcycle, often referred to as a &#8220;Boko Haram bike&#8221; for its use by terror-linked groups, was recovered at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities say the suspects are cooperating with investigators, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend fleeing accomplices and recover additional weapons.<\/p>\n<p>Reacting to the arrests, CP Adewale commended the operatives for their courage and precision, reaffirming the Command\u2019s commitment to eliminating criminal networks in the region.<\/p>\n<p>He urged residents to stay alert and report suspicious activity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Adenike Lawal In a major breakthrough against kidnapping, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Police Command has arrested three suspected masterminds of abductions across Abuja and Kaduna.
