Michael Bawa, described the donation as a timely intervention that aligns with the administration\u2019s push for a digitally empowered education system.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis initiative supports our efforts to digitize learning and prepare students for the demands of a tech-driven world,\u201d Mahmoud said, while urging teachers to incorporate the devices into classroom instruction and students to use them responsibly.<\/p>\n<p>The devices were donated as part of MTN\u2019s digital education initiative which aims to bridge the digital divide among Nigerian students.<\/p>\n<p>According to Dr. Ernest Ndukwe, Chairman of MTN Nigeria\u2019s Board, a total of 4,600 tablets are being distributed nationwide under the program.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMTN believes that everyone deserves the benefits of a modern, connected life,\u201d Ndukwe noted.<\/p>\n<p>Also speaking at the event, Dr. Kolawole Olabashola, who represented the Mandate Secretary of the FCT Education Secretariat, praised MTN for its role in supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu, especially in the areas of education and innovation.<\/p>\n<p>The beneficiary schools are Government Day Secondary School, Dutse-Alhaji; Government Secondary School, Mpape; Government Girls Secondary School, Dukpa; Government Secondary School, Gwagwalada; Government Science Secondary School, Tunga-Maje; Government Secondary School, Pegi (Abuja at 30); Government Secondary School, Kwali; Government Secondary School, Airport; Government Secondary School, Garki; Government Secondary School, Gosa; Government Secondary School, Gwarinpa; and Government Day Secondary School, Wuse II.<\/p>\n<p>The event underscores the growing synergy between the public and private sectors in expanding access to quality education through technology.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Adewunmi Oluwaseun The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), has reaffirmed its commitment to improving public education through digital innovation as it hailed MTN Nigeria for donating 600 learning tablets to 12 government secondary schools across the FCT.
