Shima Academy secured third place.<\/p>\n<p>Chess in Slums Africa, mentored by renowned chess coach Tunde Onakoya, came in fourth, while Clement Secondary School Logbook placed fifth.<\/p>\n<p>Other top contenders include St. Gregory\u2019s College (6th), The Ambassadors College Ota, Sasa Community Junior and Senior High School, Value Place College, and ABS College, rounding out the top ten.<\/p>\n<p>Notable mentions include Kings College Lagos (19th), Indian Language School (23rd), Queens College Lagos, and Corona Secondary School, Agbara, which placed 129th.<\/p>\n<p>The championship culminates today, Saturday, with 32 universities and tertiary institutions set to compete in the grand finale.<\/p>\n<p>The total prize pool for the tournament is \u20a620 million.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Omoniyi David &nbsp; Platform School has emerged overall winner at the second edition of the Ecobank National Schools Team Chess Championship, hosted by the Nigeria Chess Federation (NCF).
