{"id":69216,"date":"2025-06-27T20:17:02","date_gmt":"2025-06-27T20:17:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=69216"},"modified":"2025-06-27T20:17:02","modified_gmt":"2025-06-27T20:17:02","slug":"father-charged-with-sexual-assault-on-13-year-old-daughter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/06\/27\/father-charged-with-sexual-assault-on-13-year-old-daughter\/","title":{"rendered":"Father Charged With Sexual Assault on 13-Year-Old Daughter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Anifowoshe Oladipupo<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A 50-year-old man from Lagos, Ramoni Seriki, has been ordered to remain at Kirikiri Correctional Center after being charged with the sexual assault of his 13-year-old daughter.<\/p>\n<p>The disturbing allegations emerged during proceedings at the Ikeja Chief Magistrates\u2019 Court on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Seriki, a transporter residing on Obasa Avenue in Ijegun, is accused of the offense, which reportedly took place on June 18, 2025, at his home.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutor ASP Adegoke Ademigbuji informed the court that Seriki allegedly molested his daughter while she was asleep.<\/p>\n<p>The situation escalated when it was revealed that the victim had confided in her mother, who has been estranged from Seriki for several years.<\/p>\n<p>The prosecution stated that the alleged act violates Section 137 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Magistrate Mrs. O. O.
