Saint Maria Goretti\u2019s legacy of virtue and forgiveness in the face of abuse is a model for this generation,\u201d Mrs. Etute said.<\/p>\n<p>A short film and documentary on the life of Saint Maria Goretti, the school\u2019s patron saint, deeply moved attendees, reinforcing the campaign\u2019s core message of courage, chastity, and moral resilience.<\/p>\n<p>Key presentations followed, including a talk on \u201cHealthy Life, Healthy Future\u201d by Dame (Dr.), Perpetual Uhomoibhi, retired Director of the National Malaria Elimination Programme.<\/p>\n<p>She emphasized the need for holistic well-being-mental, physical, and spiritual.<\/p>\n<p>Other speakers included Rev. Mother Oresoa Agatha Selo-Ojeme of Anawim Homes, Barrister Joy Ojehomon of Grace Works Foundation, and Chief Mary Angela Momoh of the Society for the Abuse of Minors.<\/p>\n<p>Each offered expert advice on mentorship, healing, and self-empowerment, especially for victims of abuse.<\/p>\n<p>Representatives from NAPTIP, the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, and Social Welfare Services were also present, sharing resources and hotlines for students to access confidential help and support.<\/p>\n<p>Explaining the choice of venue, Dame Uhomoibhi, a SMAGOGA member, noted the school\u2019s alignment with the group\u2019s Catholic roots and said future campaigns would be extended to public schools across the FCT and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is only the beginning. Our vision is national. We want every child to hear this message and know their rights,\u201d she affirmed.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Etute further announced that the outreach would become an annual campaign, supported by contributions from SMAGOGA members and sponsors across different graduating sets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is not just a project, it\u2019s a movement.
