{"id":68487,"date":"2025-06-19T05:49:29","date_gmt":"2025-06-19T05:49:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=68487"},"modified":"2025-06-19T05:49:29","modified_gmt":"2025-06-19T05:49:29","slug":"woman-found-dead-in-abuja-hotel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/06\/19\/woman-found-dead-in-abuja-hotel\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman Found Dead in Abuja Hotel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Patrick Idowu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A woman identified as Aladi Offikwu Johnson, also known as Tessy, was found dead in a hotel room on 3rd Avenue, Gwarinpa, Abuja, after checking in with an unidentified man on Monday night.<\/p>\n<p>According to a witness, hotel staff discovered the room locked from the outside on Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n<p>After several unanswered knocks, they forced the door open and found the victim\u2019s hands tied behind her back and her mouth gagged with a cloth.<\/p>\n<p>The police were alerted and evacuated the body to a morgue.<\/p>\n<p>FCT Police Command spokesperson, SP Adeh Josephine, confirmed the incident and said preliminary investigation revealed that the male companion had left the premises alone.<\/p>\n<p>The victim was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>The Commissioner of Police, CP Ajao Saka Adewale, has urged calm as investigations continue.<\/p>\n<p>He also advised young women to be cautious when meeting unfamiliar individuals and to always share their whereabouts with trusted contacts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Patrick Idowu A woman identified as Aladi Offikwu Johnson, also known as Tessy, was found dead in a hotel room on 3rd Avenue, Gwarinpa, Abuja, after checking in with an unidentified man on Monday night.
