Egwuatu on Tuesday on five amended counts bordering on money laundering, stealing, and criminal conversion of public funds belonging to the Bauchi State Government.<\/p>\n<p>According to the EFCC, Jaja and Abubakar, along with others still at large, allegedly committed the offences between October 29 and December 31, 2024, in Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>The anti-graft agency alleged that the accused laundered the sum of \u20a61,192,234,627 by transferring it from the Bauchi State Sub-Treasury account (UBA account number 1018819396) into the account of Jasfad Resources Enterprise (UBA account number 1023444660), operated by Abubakar.<\/p>\n<p>The case has been adjourned for further hearing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Huldah Shado &nbsp; The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has re-arraigned the Accountant General of Bauchi State, Sirajo Muhammad Jaja, alongside a bureau de change operator, Aliyu Abubakar, before the Federal High Court in Maitama, Abuja.
