Enough is enough,\u201d Tinubu declared, mandating the police, military, and intelligence services to take full control of the situation.<\/p>\n<p>He urged Governor Hyacinth Alia to urgently initiate peace and reconciliation efforts among warring groups in the state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the time for Governor Alia to act as a statesman and lead dialogue that will restore peace to Benue,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The President decried the ongoing clashes involving farmers, herders, and other factions, labeling the killings as \u201cinhuman and anti-progress.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He stressed that meaningful development cannot take place in an atmosphere of violence.<\/p>\n<p>Tinubu also warned political and community leaders against inflammatory rhetoric, urging them to act responsibly and help de-escalate tensions.<\/p>\n<p>He assured that all perpetrators of violence will be brought to justice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Samuel Adeola President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed security agencies to immediately implement earlier presidential orders aimed at restoring peace in Benue State, following a resurgence of deadly violence and reprisal killings.
