{"id":68151,"date":"2025-06-16T01:58:02","date_gmt":"2025-06-16T01:58:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=68151"},"modified":"2025-06-16T01:58:02","modified_gmt":"2025-06-16T01:58:02","slug":"be-role-models-pastor-alex-urges-fathers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/06\/16\/be-role-models-pastor-alex-urges-fathers\/","title":{"rendered":"Be Role Models, Pastor Alex Urges Fathers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Ade Iyamoye\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As the world marked International Father\u2019s Day, Pastor Alex Ogundipe of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Daki-Biyu District, Kubwa, Abuja, has called on fathers to be responsible role models for their children.<\/p>\n<p>Delivering an exhortation during the special Father\u2019s Day service on Sunday, Pastor Ogundipe emphasized the need for fathers to lead by example and guide their children in godly values.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA father must be a mentor. If he fails in that duty, his children may seek direction from the wrong sources such as bad friends, harmful social media content, which can lead them astray and harm society at large,\u201d he warned.<\/p>\n<p>Citing Genesis 18:19 and 1 Timothy 5:8, he underscored the biblical expectation for fathers to train their children in the ways of God, love their families, and provide for their households.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that the celebration of Father\u2019s Day is a reminder of the critical role fathers play in shaping their children\u2019s future.<\/p>\n<p>Also speaking, Pastor Nathaniel Ayankanmi, in a sermon titled \u201cThe Father: God\u2019s Steward\u201d, charged fathers to remain faithful to God\u2019s calling.
