The Federal High Court will commence its 2025 annual vacation on July 28, with court sittings expected to resume on September 17.<\/p>\n

This was disclosed in a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday by the Court\u2019s Director of Information, Mrs Catherine Oby Christopher, and made available to the media.<\/p>\n

According to the statement, during the vacation period, only the core divisions of the court in Abuja, Lagos and Port Harcourt will remain operational to handle cases of extreme urgency.<\/p>\n

Consequently, the litigating public is advised to approach only the courts in the listed locations that are nearest to them.<\/p>\n

Christopher also listed the judges who will be sitting during the vacation period. In Abuja, Justice Emeka Nwite and Justice M S Liman will be on duty.<\/p>\n

In Lagos, Justice Deinde I Dipeolu and Justice Musa Kakaki will handle urgent matters.<\/p>\n

In Port Harcourt, Justice P M Ayua and Justice A T Mohammed will be sitting.<\/p>\n

She further explained that the annual vacation is in line with the provisions of Order 46, Rule 4(d) of the Federal High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules 2019.<\/p>\n

The statement also conveyed the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice John Tsoho\u2019s good wishes to his colleagues as he wished them a pleasant and restful vacation in advance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
