{"id":66074,"date":"2025-05-20T06:21:07","date_gmt":"2025-05-20T06:21:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=66074"},"modified":"2025-05-20T06:21:07","modified_gmt":"2025-05-20T06:21:07","slug":"dangote-holds-fuel-price-steady","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/05\/20\/dangote-holds-fuel-price-steady\/","title":{"rendered":"Dangote Holds Fuel Price Steady"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Adewunmi Oluwaseun\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Despite the rising cost of crude oil on the global market, Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals has reaffirmed its commitment to keeping petrol prices stable for Nigerian consumers.<\/p>\n<p>The company said its decision to maintain affordable pump prices amid international volatility reflects its firm dedication to supporting the nation\u2019s economy and easing the burden on the public.<\/p>\n<p>According to a statement from Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, the move aligns with the Federal Government\u2019s Nigeria First policy and President Bola Tinubu\u2019s Renewed Hope Agenda.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRefining locally at the world\u2019s largest single-train refinery strengthens Nigeria\u2019s energy security, conserves foreign exchange, and boosts economic resilience,\u201d the statement noted.<\/p>\n<p>The firm praised the President\u2019s Naira-for-Crude initiative, which it said has enabled consistent price cuts on petroleum products.<\/p>\n<p>The refinery also assured stakeholders of its continued focus on affordability, quality and national interest in its operations.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the refinery has taken delivery of 146,000 metric tonnes of crude oil, with another 125,000 metric tonnes expected soon.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, three vessels have arrived to lift jet fuel exports, further positioning the facility as a key player in the global energy market.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Adewunmi Oluwaseun\u00a0 Despite the rising cost of crude oil on the global market, Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals has reaffirmed its commitment to keeping petrol prices stable for Nigerian consumers.
