{"id":65716,"date":"2025-05-13T15:54:27","date_gmt":"2025-05-13T15:54:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=65716"},"modified":"2025-05-13T15:54:27","modified_gmt":"2025-05-13T15:54:27","slug":"wike-moves-to-end-taxi-crimes-with-new-terminals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/05\/13\/wike-moves-to-end-taxi-crimes-with-new-terminals\/","title":{"rendered":"Wike Moves to End Taxi Crimes with New Terminals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>By Ifeoluwa Odunayo<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, says the two newly completed bus terminals in Abuja will play a key role in tackling taxi-related crimes, especially the notorious one chance incidents.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking during an inspection of the Mabushi and Kugbo terminals on Tuesday, Wike disclosed that the projects are ready for commissioning by President Bola Tinubu as part of his administration&#8217;s second anniversary celebrations.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the terminals are designed to centralize public transportation in Abuja, cutting off unregistered and rundown vehicles from operating freely on the streets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPassengers will no longer wait by the roadside. You go to the terminal where the drivers and vehicles are known.
