{"id":65274,"date":"2025-05-05T03:23:47","date_gmt":"2025-05-05T03:23:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=65274"},"modified":"2025-05-05T03:23:47","modified_gmt":"2025-05-05T03:23:47","slug":"nigeria-customs-boosts-ranks-with-50-fresh-graduates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/05\/05\/nigeria-customs-boosts-ranks-with-50-fresh-graduates\/","title":{"rendered":"Nigeria Customs Boosts Ranks with 50 Fresh Graduates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Ade Iyamoye\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College in Gwagwalada, Abuja has produced 50 newly trained officers following the completion of its Junior Course 21.<\/p>\n<p>The intensive three-month programme, which targeted mid-level personnel across the Service, concluded with a colourful graduation ceremony at the College\u2019s Ahmad Makarfi Hall on May 2, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on behalf of the Comptroller-General, Adewale Adeniyi, Deputy Comptroller-General Suleiman Chiroma, who heads the Training and Doctrine Command, urged the graduates to uphold the values of professionalism, integrity, and discipline.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou are now equipped to take on higher responsibilities and contribute meaningfully to the Customs Service and our national objectives,\u201d Chiroma said.<\/p>\n<p>The College Commandant, Assistant Comptroller-General Oluyomi Adebakin, commended the graduates and reminded them that the Service places a premium on excellence and character.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Nigeria Customs Service has made a huge investment in your development. We expect a return in form of service delivery. Indiscipline will not be tolerated,\u201d Adebakin declared.<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony featured certificate presentations and the conferment of the Passed Junior Staff Course qualification.
