{"id":64889,"date":"2025-04-27T04:13:32","date_gmt":"2025-04-27T04:13:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=64889"},"modified":"2025-04-27T04:13:32","modified_gmt":"2025-04-27T04:13:32","slug":"karu-launches-address-revolution","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/04\/27\/karu-launches-address-revolution\/","title":{"rendered":"Karu Launches Address Revolution"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Adewunmi Oluwaseun\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a bold step towards modern urban planning, Karu local government council in Nasarawa state has kickstarted a street naming and house numbering exercise across the area.<\/p>\n<p>The project, launched in collaboration with G Code Global Services Limited, is designed to improve urban organisation, ease service delivery, and boost emergency response systems.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in Karu, the Chief Executive Officer of G Code Global Services, Mr Gaza Auta, described the exercise as a game changer for residents, visitors, and service providers alike.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the project will standardise addresses, enhance delivery of utility and postal services, and support government interventions.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The initiative will provide critical data for town planning, infrastructure development, and future expansion,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that G Code Global Services is responsible for mapping and data collection, conducting surveys, and creating digital maps of communities.<\/p>\n<p>Naming streets and numbering houses will be done in consultation with community stakeholders to ensure cultural appropriateness.<\/p>\n<p>Auta added that residents are encouraged to participate by suggesting street names, verifying details, and updating documents to reflect the new addresses.<\/p>\n<p>The current phase of the project, which began in February, is expected to continue over the next three years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Adewunmi Oluwaseun\u00a0 In a bold step towards modern urban planning, Karu local government council in Nasarawa state has kickstarted a street naming and house numbering exercise across the area.
