{"id":64607,"date":"2025-04-23T10:05:49","date_gmt":"2025-04-23T10:05:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=64607"},"modified":"2025-04-24T06:20:56","modified_gmt":"2025-04-24T06:20:56","slug":"boy-11-dies-in-mango-hunt-fall","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/04\/23\/boy-11-dies-in-mango-hunt-fall\/","title":{"rendered":"Hunger: Boy 11, Falls, Dies Plucking Mango to Eat"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Patrick Idowu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A tragic cloud settled over Bugakwo community in Kuje Area Council following the death of an 11-year-old boy, Joshua Samson, who lost his life after falling from a mango tree.<\/p>\n<p>Eyewitnesses say the young boy climbed the tree in search of mangoes but lost his footing and plummeted to the ground, hitting his head on a stone beneath.<\/p>\n<p>One of the boys who accompanied Joshua reportedly dashed home in tears to alert his parents.<\/p>\n<p>They rushed to the scene and hurried him to the Kwaku Health Centre.<\/p>\n<p>Sadly, medical personnel confirmed him dead on arrival, citing severe head trauma.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe died from serious head injuries,\u201d a resident, Danjuma, told our reporter.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the boy was buried shortly after and that the incident was not reported to any security agency.<\/p>\n<p>The tragedy has left many in the close-knit community heartbroken and shaken.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Patrick Idowu A tragic cloud settled over Bugakwo community in Kuje Area Council following the death of an 11-year-old boy, Joshua Samson, who lost his life after falling from a mango tree.
